Our pre-kindergarteners have been busy learning about Winter and all the wonderful wonders of the season. This week we transitioned to Art Appreciation, a two week unit that teaches students about some of the world's greatest artists of all times. Students learn through exploration of many different art media as they are given the opportunity to recreate some of the world's greatest works with their own take on it.
We survived a very busy last week of October and November brings in our busy season with Thanksgiving and Christmas prep. Just a reminder that reading every email is very important as we head into the busy holiday season. Last week we celebrated all things pumpkins, fall and leaves. This week we will focus on Thanksgiving. We are working to prep for our Thanksgiving programs and our Christmas program. Sign ups have been created and sent out to families. We are hosting a dessert feast this year!
September started with getting to know our gnomies! The students acclimated quickly and were able to enjoy having a teddy bear picnic together with their favorite fuzzy friends. The month rounded out with a celebration of apples and Johnny Appleseed, propelling us into fall. The class will enjoy apple tasting activities this week along with lots of other festive, fall fun.
We can't wait to be hangin' with our GNOMIES in pre-kindergarten this year so grab your hat and hustle in for a fantastic time! Come on in. You'll like it here. I'm quite the fungi once you get to gnome me! (Get it? Fun.... Guy... )
