Our three year old friends are learning all about winter and it's been a great time to explore this unit with snow in the forecast. Our class is progressing through their alphabet and gaining confidence in themselves. We will host parent conferences at the end of the month and talk about each child's individual progress. Families should be thinking about their plan for pre-k next year and sharing that with their child's teachers.
Mrs. Holland's class had a sweet start to the year! Their candy land theme propelled them into health and wellness where they then learned about healthy choices, germs, dental health, x-rays and the letter x and more! They transitioned the next week into he letter B and bears. The class has had a blast learning through play and creativity. They have made hibernating bears, bear faces with paint, practiced counting and sorting, done puzzles and play dough, learned the story of Creation, all while learning to sit and listen to a story, share with friends, follow new routines and use self-help skills. It's been a busy time to be a preschooler! The class will transition into fall activities this week as they explore apples, leaves and pumpkins.
Travel through the Candy Cane Forest and climb Gumdrop Mountain to meet us in preschool this year! Be a life saver and bring your smile for a fantastic time of learning and growing because school is sweeter with you in it!
This week our theme will be Underground. We will explore things you find underground. Your child will create an underground theme art, an ant hill, bulldozer and more! We will focus on the letter U.
Just a reminder! This week students will attend on Monday for a make up day.
